Situated as a step up from our Club Level, our Academy Level Football Boots are the third level of football boots in the range, with Pro and Elite being the only two boot classes above.
The Academy range utilises more basic technologies and materials on the upper and soleplate when compared with the higher tiers. However, the same aesthetic can be found across the range, ensuring that every level boasts the authentic look and feel of their respective brand.
The Academy range includes specific models from Nike, such as the Nike Mercurial Academy, Nike Phantom Academy, and Nike Tiempo Academy. Each of these models carries the quality and affordability characteristic of the Academy range, making them an excellent choice for regular players.
With each level utilising different technologies and materials, with the price and quality increasing as you move up the levels, the Academy range belongs to a class of boots that delivers a perfect balance of quality and affordability for regular players.
While Nike themselves are the only brand to incorporate “Academy” into their range, the equivalent for adidas is their “League” range, spanning across their range of football boots, from the adidas F50 League to adidas Predator League and X Crazyfast League.
Puma works slightly differently, and their equivalent to academy level is known as “Match” (Laced) and “Match +” (Laceless), spanning across their range from Puma Future Match to Puma Ultra Match and Puma King Match.
Lastly, we have New Balance, who utilise “Academy” for their 442 range of boots, “Dispatch” for their Furon football boots, and “Magique” for their Tekela range.
